Diana Schlobohm

Diana started taking Pilates classes in 2000 to help with scoliosis in her spine. She soon realized Pilates helped her with other balance and postural issues. Diana became certified in The Method Pilates at the PhysicalMind Institute in August of 2006. She earned her PMA certification in March 2007. Committed to increasing her knowledge and technique, Diana continues to educate herself in continuing education classes that range from Muscular Imbalances, learning the Franklin Method, taking chair and tower workshops and core data human anatomy. Diana believes that teaching people to move properly from their core muscles is paramount to living life to the fullest. Diana and her husband Mark, a chiropractor, have two teenage sons.

Kathy Celardo

Kathy received her Pilates Instructor certification in 2009 through Balanced Body University and achieved her Certified Pilates Teacher designation by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in 2010. Kathy was a student and employee of Pure Pilates for several years before pursuing her certifications as a Pilates Instructor. It was her enthusiasm for the Pilates Method, engagement of the mind with the body to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve overall health, that lead her to become a certified instructor. Pilates continues to improve her performance in her many other passions including running, cycling, skiing and hiking. Kathy continues to broaden her knowledge and understanding of Pilates movement and technique through various workshops and seminars. When Kathy is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons who also share a passion for a healthy and active lifestyle.

Shannon Isaacson

Shannon received her Pilates certification in 1998. She has studied with many Pilates instructors including Kelly Kane from Power Pilates in New York City and Shelly Gyger in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Shannon received her full apparatus certification in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the Physical Mind Institute in 1998 and was then asked back to the school to work with student teachers and clients. She worked closely with the school to help develop a video on the Cadillac that has been used to educate aspiring teachers. In her prior life, she owned and operated a Pilates studio and has worked with hundreds of clients. Today Shannon, when she is not sharing her passion for Pilates at Pure Pilates, spends her time raising her son Jared, along with husband Jordan. Shannon inspires her clients daily to lead healthy, balanced lives. She is so happy to be part of the Pure Pilates family.

Carol Crincoli

Carol M. Crincoli, Owner of Pure Pilates, has been practicing Pilates since 2003. She received her Pilates training through the PhysicalMind Institute in New York, NY and is certified through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Carol is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater and a minor in Dance. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. She was accepted into the IDEA-PFT Recognition System as an Elite Level Personal Fitness Trainer. Carol has been working in the exercise industry since 1990, in the areas of corporate/commercial fitness, recreational programming and was adjunct faculty at Kean University in Union, NJ. By incorporating her love of movement and music, fitness knowledge and her outgoing personality, she brings quality programs for all ages and fitness levels. Opening Pure Pilates is the culmination of a lifetime dream for Carol. Her desire to "inspire life from the core" incorporates every aspect of well being from exercise, healthy lifestyle and stress management.

Kathy Jackson

Armed with a lifelong interest in teaching (former middle school teacher and corporate trainer) and in sports and fitness (favorites include track & field, tennis, volleyball and basketball) Kathy received her Pilates certification from Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI) and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). She is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is also certified with the Arthritis Foundation to teach group exercise classes for people with arthritis.

Laura Harrell

Laura Martin Harrell has been practicing Pilates since 1989 and has studied extensively with many accomplished teachers, such as Bob Leikens, Cary Regan and Phoebe Higgins. She completed a comprehensive training program and apprenticeship with Deborah Lessen, a second generation master teacher and one of the most respected leaders in the field. Laura began teaching Pilates in 1995 and also has extensive experience teaching fitness, both in group classes and private instruction. She is a former dancer, having performed and taught dance at various institutions, such as SUNY Purchase and Trinity College. Laura lives in Livingston with her husband, Bobby and 2 children, Katie and John.

Morgan Refakis

Morgan Hille Refakis is from Fort Wayne, IN, where she grew up studying ballet, modern, jazz and tap at The Academy of the Fort Wayne Ballet. Pilates was always incorporated in her dance training and she began practicing Pilates in 1999. After delving into the philosophies and structure of Pilates she received her mat certification from Balanced Body University and is now pursuing her Pilates Apparatus Certification. Morgan graduated from Rutgers University with a double degree in Dance and Journalism. Morgan is the manager for the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company and also dances and choreographs in her free time.

Sophie Giaretta

Sophie has been in the fitness industry since 2000 as a group exercise instructor and personal trainer. In 2001, she completed her Pilates training with PhysicalMind Institute and Tom McCook at the Center of Balance in California. In 2006, Sophie continued her passion for Pilates and completed the Comprehensive Personal Apparatus Training (a 9 month long program including mat work and apparatus intensives) with ITT Pilates in California. She enjoys teaching in a group or private setting and is focused on assisting clients with their individual needs. Sophie is dedicated to helping participants develop healthy movements, functional strength and achieve balance within their body and mind. 

Maria Sheldon

Maria Sheldon was a professional dancer in her native country of Spain. She came to New York City in 2005 to dance, where she also discovered Pilates classes and became a dedicated student.  She quickly discovered the huge benefits of the discipline, decided to become an instructor and completed her Pilates training with the Kelly Kane School in NYC.  Maria has extensive training on all Pilates equipment, in addition to specialty Pilates training for tennis players and golfers.  She achieved her Certified Pilates Teacher designation by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in July 2013.

Emilia Iorillo

Emilia Iorillo graduated from Rutgers University with a BF in Dance. She received her Pilates education through Polestar Pilates International, studying under Brent Anderson and Kim Gibilisco and holds a Pilates Method Alliance Certiļ¬ed Pilates Teacher designation. She strives to guide her students through a challenging, safe and fun movement experience that will strengthen and engage both the body and the mind.

Jackie Connelly

Jaclyn Connelly discovered Pilates in 2003 and developed her personal practice for nearly 10 years before receiving her comprehensive Pilates training with Balanced Body in 2012. Pilates has enhanced her life and she is dedicated to sharing the gifts she has received. Jaclyn is also certified in Iyengar yoga (which emphasizes detail, precision, alignment and breath control), and has an extensive experience practicing and teaching this discipline.

With this combination, she brings a keen awareness of skeletal alignment and the ability to coach people to find their best form, while fostering the mind-body connection. Jaclyn is a gifted instructor, adept at providing both an athletic and therapeutic practice, which allows her to cater to individual needs, and to provide a safe yet challenging session at every fitness level.

Elly Mandarakas

Elly Mandarakas is certified through Pilates Academy International. She also holds a B.F.A. from Montclair State University and is credentialed in all levels with Dance Educators of America. After many years of studying various forms of dance and movement, she discovered Pilates and its unique and positive effects. She has experience as a professional dancer and teaching Pilates as physical therapy. Working with people who have injuries and need rehabilitation enhanced her approach to working with healthy bodies. Elly loves to experience new places, foods and ways of life while always keeping her very strong core with her family and communities.

Katie Huddleston

Katie received her Classical Comprehensive Pilates Certificate of Training from Core Pilates NYC. She is a professional dancer who has performed across the country at numerous venues and in various productions including at The Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall and in the Broadway 1st National Tour of Anything Goes and in the 50th Anniversary Concerts of the Rolling Stones. Katie is inspired by Pilates for the mind-body connection it creates and brings this passion to her students as she helps them realign and strengthen their bodies while improving overall wellness.

Rebecca Noerr

Rebecca received her Pilates certifications in mat and apparatus through Powerhouse Pilates. She also holds certifications in personal training, group fitness instruction and spin. She earned a B.S from Drexel University and worked in the New York City fashion industry for 10 years before moving to fitness. She trains clients at all levels with expertise in athletes, sports disciplines (golf and tennis), reconditioning and seniors. Her goal is to help develop core strength, increased flexibility and encourage fitness as fun, safe and rewarding.

Rachel Miranda

Rachel received her Pilates certifications in mat and apparatus through STOTT Pilates and pre- and post-natal specialist certifications through Women's Fitness Center of America. She graduated Summa cum Laude from Montclair State University where she earned Bachelor’s Degrees in both Fine Arts/Dance and English Education. She also holds a Master’s of Education in Dance from Rutgers. Rachel trained in New York and has been teaching Pilates since 2009. She is the director of the Ridge Dance Department at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, NJ where she teaches grades 9-12 and advises on dance related extra-curricular activities. She brings her experience in the classroom to her teaching of Pilates.
