As a certified Health Coach I want to let you in on a secret… the simplest and most effective way for you to start feeling better is to eat real foods. Simply put, eat foods as close to their natural state – like fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts and avoid eating junk food as much as possible. Eat foods created by nature and you will be surprised how much better you feel.
Simple carbohydrates, like bread, cookies and pasta, are quickly digested, requiring a lot of insulin for your body to regulate your blood sugar. On the other hand, complex carbohydrates are metabolized more slowly, keep you satiated longer and are better for your overall health. These are present in peas, beans, sweet potatoes, leafy vegetables and whole grains which are loaded with vitamins and other nutrients.
