Client Testimonial: Maureen Alvidrez

written by Kathy Celardo, Pure Pilates Instructor

“I introduced neuro movement to my high schooler with Letter Ball in the school year following the COVID lockdown as his work habits had been upended and then he was attending school in-person or virtually, depending on the day. He appreciated how it helped him to shift his focus to be more productive. In 2022, I introduced my college graduate son to Letter Ball while he was preparing to apply to law school; he found it so useful that he played it immediately prior to sitting for the LSAT.

Recently, I was preparing for a professional certification exam for which I considered that the necessity to adjust my daily routine could be as challenging as the studying process. I am confident that my neuro movement practice played a significant part in my having productive studying sessions. Before cracking the books, I would play Letter Ball and/or do a series of neuro movement exercises. What a difference it made to get myself into the mindset that I needed! It was also remarkable when I used it to regain focus; it often felt empowering and made the studying less challenging.

Finally, it was the day of the exam and while I was taking it at the test site, I started my day with Letter Ball and didn’t leave the house before doing a series of neuro movement exercises. Further, by using a spot on the wall, I used neuro movement (VOR Vestibular Ocular Reflex drill*) during a couple of breaks during the 4-hour exam which helped me to regain focus and sustain my energy.

Vestibular Ocular Reflex Drill (VOR)

I passed the exam, for which I am grateful, and I am continuing to play Letter Ball and practice neuro movement to support my work responsibilities!” – Maureen A, Summit

*Vestibular Ocular Reflex (VOR) Drills is a simple exercise that can allow the eyes, inner ear and brain to recalibrate.
