A tip for doing a straight leg teaser – Teaser is an advanced exercise and can be a challenge for a multitude of reasons. There are many ways to modify the exercise to accommodate all types of bodies and create a successful Teaser, but this tip focuses specifically on the challenge of straightening your legs. If you find yourself having a hard time lifting your straight legs in a full teaser, try this tip.
It’s often hard to find the reach of your legs before lifting, especially when they are resting on the floor. To find that leg connection, let’s go back to the double leg stretch from the abdominal series to focus on the reach of your legs as you extend them out. Notice how your lower abdominal work to hold your legs out and bring them back to table top. Next, try a bent leg teaser and focus on finding that reach when you extend your legs. Once you find the leg and abdominal connection, give a full teaser with straight legs a try.
