I recently added some small group classes to the schedule. When I re-opened the Summit studio, I envisioned workshops and specialty classes that would compliment the private and partner workouts we offered. I wanted my teachers and I to have the opportunity to program and present creative movement experiences. I designed a class called Pilates Playground. I wanted my first group experience to be playful, where the group could connect while moving through “feel good” exercises on the Reformer, Chair, and Spine Corrector. As we approached the end of the workout, the full class of 6 students came together to stretch on the floor. At that moment, a rush of joy came over me and I said, “It is such an amazing feeling to be here with all of you. The energy that we are creating by connecting and moving together is very special.”
Later in the day, the joy continued with the official ribbon cutting and Grand (re) Opening of Pure Pilates. I hosted a party with all of my teachers in attendance. I was thrilled and I was grateful. How lucky was I to have the best and most wonderful women to work alongside? And with a few dozen clients and friends, we feasted on yummy canapes and desserts while we sipped on champagne. It was a beautiful day. A celebration that reminded me that love is truly all around me. I share the love with all of you.
Mayor Nora Radest brought some impressive scissors for our official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The sun was shining and the first signs of spring were here. The first toast of the day. Beyond Delicious Catering from New Providence created the menu of savory canapes and mini dessert tray. The owner Judy never disappoints with her creations.
