The Client Chronicles: Nora Radest

written by Carol Crincoli, Pure Pilates Director

What is your name?

Nora Radest

How long have you been practicing Pilates?

15-16 years.

What inspired you to step into the Pure Pilates studio?

I had been working for several years with Carol and trusted her and was impressed by her knowledge of movement and the body, as well as her serious care and concern for her clients. When she opened Pure Pilates, it was a no brainer for me to follow her there.

What aspects of Pilates, your instructor, or the studio do you find particularly enjoyable?

The exercises push me. I have been injured from time to time over the years and Pilates has done wonders to help me heal. But to be clear, I could not have done that on my own; the wonderful instructors are critical.

Do you have a preferred Pilates exercise, or one that you find particularly challenging?

I had a tough time figuring out the elephant stretch in the beginning but now I love it. Pushing myself to do full swans is a challenge which I cherish. Carol and her instructors work hard to make each session unique and challenging and for that I am grateful.

Do you have a perfect Pilates moment or triumph you’ve experienced?

Ha! Recovering well from broken feet and broken elbows! Not all at once, thankfully.

Can you share a humorous, captivating, or uplifting anecdote about your experience at Pure Pilates?

Not really. I try to stay in my own zone when I’m there, but truly every session is very important to me and worthwhile.
